These conditions govern your camper reservation. By paying the deposit and checking the acceptance box, you confirm that you have read and accepted them.
How your booking is secured
Payment of the deposit (by default 50% of the quoted total, unless otherwise stated in the quote) reserves the period and camper model of the quote identified by its code. The reservation is confirmed once the accumulated payment reaches 50% of the total; below that threshold it is a “reservation in progress” and does not definitively block the unit. The balance is paid at the time the camper is handed over, before the trip begins.
How you pay
Amounts are charged in Chilean pesos (CLP). Domestic and international cards, bank transfer, and the methods enabled in the payment link are accepted. Payment-gateway fees and exchange-rate differences are borne by the customer when paying in a foreign currency (e.g. PayPal). Payments are attributed to the reservation by its code.
No surprises after the deposit
Once the deposit is paid, the quoted price is fixed: subsequent rate changes give no right to a refund if they drop, nor generate additional charges if they rise. Add-ons contracted later are charged at the rate in force at the time they are contracted.
If your specific vehicle is not available
Yeti Campers will have a vehicle of the reserved model available for the start date. If for operational reasons (breakdown, accident, delayed return of a prior rental, or any other cause beyond Yeti Campers’ control) the specific vehicle is not available, Yeti Campers may substitute it with another of equal or higher category and equipment, at no additional cost.
If no vehicle of equal or higher category is available, you may choose between (a) rescheduling at no surcharge, or (b) a full refund of all amounts paid.
Refunds & rescheduling
Who can drive
Primary and additional drivers: minimum age 25, a driver’s license valid throughout the entire rental period, with a minimum of 5 years’ seniority. An international license is not required: a valid license from the country of origin is sufficient. Additional drivers must be declared before pickup. Driver details and documents are completed in the customer portal before pickup.
Providing false information about identity, age, license, or drivers entitles Yeti Campers to terminate the contract immediately, without refund, and voids insurance coverage.
CLP $2.000.000 hold
At pickup, a security deposit of CLP $2.000.000 is set up, taken exclusively as a hold (pre-authorization) on a credit card in the primary driver’s name, held until the end of the trip. Release occurs within 24 to 48 business hours once the vehicle is verified as returned in order.
The deductible is separate from the deposit. The deposit does not cap liability: damages or charges exceeding it remain the customer’s responsibility. For rentals longer than 30 days, a promissory note (pagaré) for the amount of the deposit is also signed, reinforcing — without replacing — the deposit and the charge authorization.
Determined after the return
These are charged against the deposit or the authorized card, always with supporting documentation:
Safe & authorized use
The vehicle is delivered with one gas canister (a consumable included in the rental, non-refundable). Cooking with the vehicle fully closed is prohibited; adequate ventilation must be maintained. Use of the vehicle is for tourism, on authorized roads as per the rental agreement. Smoking and carrying unauthorized pets are not permitted; breach generates a deep-cleaning charge at actual cost, as per the rental agreement.
Permits & coverage
Requires an international permit processed by Yeti Campers (CLP $200.000 per rental) and mandatory Argentine insurance (CLP $25.000 per day in Argentina), with the route declared in advance within the authorized corridor. Driving outside the declared corridor or without these documents leaves the customer without coverage. The details are formalized in the Sworn Statement for Travel to Argentina of the contract.
Theft of the vehicle or of the camper module within Argentine territory is not covered by any insurance.
When things are beyond our control
Road or border-crossing closures, weather, and outages are beyond Yeti Campers’ control; road conditions may change without notice and require prudent driving. Yeti Campers may reschedule the rental or change the camper for reasons of force majeure. If the service cannot be provided due to these causes, you may choose between a replacement vehicle subject to availability, a pro-rata refund for the days not used, or an equivalent voucher valid for 12 months.
Security & privacy
The vehicles are equipped with a GPS device, whose data is processed for operational security, recovery in the event of theft, and verification of the authorized corridor on international crossings; tampering with it is prohibited. Your personal data (identification, license, contact, payment) is processed to manage the reservation, the rental, and the associated legal obligations, in accordance with Law No. 21.719. What prevails
These terms summarize the essential conditions of the reservation. At pickup, the customer signs the rental agreement, which details the full conditions and prevails in the details; its text may be requested in advance at contacto@yeticampers.com.
How acceptance is recorded
Payment of the deposit, after checking the acceptance box, constitutes express acceptance of the version of these Terms in force, which is recorded with date, version, method, and IP. The box is never pre-checked.
Updates over time
Yeti Campers may update these Terms by publishing a new version. Each reservation is governed by the version in force at the time of its acceptance; prior acceptances retain their exact version.
