Who we are

Yeti Campers SpA operates yeticampers.com and rents 4×4 campers in Chile. We are based in Puerto Varas, Los Lagos region.

What we collect

We only collect what you type into our forms, plus basic technical information about your visit. We do not buy data from third parties and we do not build profiles beyond what you tell us.

When you request a quote or send us a message

Name, email address and phone number
Country of residence
Travel dates, pick-up and drop-off location, group size
Anything you write in the message field

When you book

The above, plus the details needed for the rental contract and the security deposit pre-authorisation
We never store your full card number. The deposit is a pre-authorisation taken at pick-up.

Automatically, when you browse

The page you landed on and the site that referred you
Campaign parameters (utm_source and similar) if you arrived from an ad or a link we shared
Your browser and device type

Why we use it

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not send newsletters unless you ask us to.

The only four reasons

To answer you. Prepare your quote, reply to your message, arrange your pick-up.
To run the rental. Contract, insurance, Argentina permits when you cross the border, and invoicing.
To follow up. If you start a quote and do not finish it, we may write once to ask whether you need a hand. One email, never a sequence.
To understand what works. Aggregate traffic statistics, so we know which routes and pages people actually read.

Where it lives

Your data is stored in our database hosted by Supabase, in their South America region (São Paulo, Brazil). Access is restricted to the Yeti Campers team through an authenticated internal system.

Conversations you start on WhatsApp live on WhatsApp, under Meta’s own terms. Emails you send us live in our Google Workspace mailbox.

How long we keep it

Quotes and enquiries are kept while they are commercially useful — typically a couple of seasons, since people often plan a Patagonia trip a year ahead.

Rental records are kept as long as Chilean tax and accounting law requires.

You can ask us to delete your data at any time and we will, except where we are legally required to keep a rental record.

Your rights

Under Chilean law 19.628 on the protection of private life you can ask us what data we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, or ask us to delete it.

Write to contacto@yeticampers.com from the address you used with us and we will reply within a few days. We do not charge for this.

Cookies and analytics

We use analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. Those cookies are set by Google Analytics.

We do not run advertising or retargeting cookies on this site. If you block cookies in your browser, everything on this site still works — including the quote form.

Resend — delivers the emails our system sends you
Webpay / Transbank — processes payments, when you pay online

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your data we will update this page and change the date below. We will not make a material change quietly.
