Our base is in Llanquihue, 15 minutes from Puerto Varas. Pick-up and drop-off in other cities is subject to availability and may include one-way fees and additional costs. Pick-up includes a full 45-minute camper briefing. Please plan accordingly.
The following fees apply in each city where pick-up or drop-off takes place. They do not include one-way fees or other charges that may apply when operating outside our base.
Pick-up or drop-off outside Puerto Varas / Llanquihue depends on vehicle availability and may include one-way fees. Contact us before booking to confirm options and costs for your route.
Additional drivers must meet the same requirements (25+, Class B, 5+ years) and must be declared to Yeti Campers before the rental begins. Undeclared drivers are not covered by insurance.
Foreign drivers should carry their national license. An international driving permit (IDP) is recommended for non-Latin-American license holders but is not strictly required under Chilean law.
Important: If any information provided is false, Yeti Campers may terminate the contract immediately with no refund.
A CLP $2,000,000 credit card pre-authorization is required at pick-up. The card must have this amount available as available credit.
The deposit is refunded in full within 48 hours of return, if there are no damages or outstanding charges. The deposit is not the maximum liability — damages exceeding this amount remain the renter's responsibility.

CLP $1,000,000 per incident, payable by the renter.
Insured up to $12,000,000. Any damage exceeding this is the renter's responsibility.
Optional: Windshield & tires insurance — CLP $290,000
Covers windshield replacement and tire damage for the duration of the rental. Highly recommended for Carretera Austral routes.
Driving into Argentina requires additional insurance at CLP $25,000/day, arranged before departure. Deductible: $2,000,000. Theft of the truck or camper module in Argentina is not covered.

The camper is delivered with a full tank. It must be returned with a full tank. Missing fuel is charged at CLP $2,500/liter.
Check oil and coolant levels every 1,000 km. Any maintenance over CLP $30,000 must be authorized by Yeti Campers beforehand and documented with a workshop receipt showing the license plate. Unauthorized repairs are not reimbursed.
Travel is allowed between Puerto Natales and Villa La Angostura, without going further from Chile than Route 40. The permit must be arranged before departure.
Theft of the truck or camper module in Argentina is not covered by insurance. Driving at night in Argentina is extremely dangerous — strongly discouraged. Failure to return the vehicle to Chile entitles Yeti Campers to charge 100% of the security deposit.
Driving in prohibited areas voids all insurance coverage and may result in immediate contract termination with no refund.
No insurance of any kind operates in these provinces.

No river crossings, streams, wetlands, beaches, dunes, or coastlines. Roads with closed gates or barriers are strictly off-limits.
